We also follow the manufacturer's guidelines which state that manufacturers recommend you replace your tires rather than repair them. The reinforced design structure of a run flat makes it extremely difficult to tell whether there's secondary damage and the internal structure has been compromised. Our Service Advisor was following Company, and manufacturer policy and recommending the most safe option for you.
