For this subframe warranty extension, we are required by Mercedes-Benz “Please thoroughly inspect the condition of the vehicle prior to beginning repairs and note to the customer any components that may be broken, worn or rusted. Pre-existing conditions are not covered” as directed, our technician inspected your vehicle, he noted significant rust and corrosion on several components connected to the rear subframe.We provided a quote that included potential costs of any of the rusted components that were noted during the inspection in case they were not able to be reused. However, we made it clear that if the parts remained intact and reusable, there would be no additional expense.
